This town hall of Vorst was built between 1925 and 1936 according to Jean-Baptiste Dewin's plans. It is a very good example of Art Deco.
The 48 metres heigh tower points back to the Flemish tradition in building belfries.
In the interior a lot of different sorts of marble was used on a large scale . According to Fabian Rasson, this is a very nice example for the Art Deco idealism, to create a total concept. The complete interior was also drawn by the architect, even the door handles, aswel as the colored finish.
