The town Doel may have to disappear for the Deurgangdock, which would be part of the Antwerp Harbor.

We visited Doel in June 2009. A lot of people already had 5disappeared, who had sold thier houses under moral pressure (and it is said for a little sum of money). To make the town unlivable - and increase the pressure on the remaining people - quite a lot of houses were already destructed.

But they underestimated the creativity of the remaining people of Doel. They try to make their village in an 'art village'.

We show you some town views... without mixing us too much into politics. Anyway, we find it sad that so many good houses were destroyed, without the certainty that the dock will be made and when. Uncertainty, at least for the following reasons:

• Harbor next to the nuclear cetral of Doel. Immagine a huge fire or explosion in the harbor...
• Economical crisis: do we need to enlarge the Antwerp Harbor?
