'In Mesen bevindt you find the Piece Tower.
In the Irish piece park in Mesen, a round tower was build to honor the fallen soliders, who - far from their island - faught side by side - overcoming their religious and political differences. This round tower was built as one monument - a symbol of reconciliation for the present and the future.
During the 'battle of Mesen' (starting on June 7th, 1917, a Catholic and Potestant Irish division (16th and 36th Ulster) faught side by side concorring the hill of Mesen. The tower is built by both Catholic and Protestant people from Nothern Ireland.
