In this chapel there is a statue of Saint Roch.

Saint Roch is a saint protecting the people against illnesses like plaque, rabies and cholera.

There are historic prooves that at this place, there was a chapel in 1774. Howoever, it may be much elder - as probably the Saint Roch statue already existed in 1604 - indeed a period when the plague was ravaging in this region.

In the region, there are quite several chapels for Saint Roch.
